2 Years...Really?
Two years ago I started dating a person who has become not only my best friend but the love of my life. I am so happy that I have someone like Jess in my life. She makes me a much better person and I would be lost without her. I can't wait to go to bed each night and wake up each morning knowing she is by my side. I am not doing this to look like a sweet guy, cause come on we all already knew that ;). But this is for Jess and everyone else, so they can see how much she means to me. I hope that some day we are as happy as everyone that is reading this. I love you Jessica Lynn Hunecke and I can't wait for what the future has in store for us. :)

1 week down
Our first week is finally done. It seemed to have lasted forever. With sore bodies we still continue to push forward. It is really rewarding to see our abs start to show through our beer layered bellies. Dieting is harder for Mitch then it is for me. He loves his pepperoni pizza and beer. Week 2 starts today with no time to relax. I just hope we can stay focused throughout this, but Mitch already brought up that when we see the new baby we will celebrate, when Iowa wins the national championship, Vikings win the Super Bowl, and holidays we must be having cocktails during these times.

P90X
The start of a new life began yesterday. P90X is a workout/nutrition plan. They break your food done into portions, cutting out the goods such as (fast food, beer, pizza, etc.) We had to do pre-tests to have set starting numbers. We also had to take pictures of ourselves in different positions, and then finally take measurements of our arms, legs, chest, etc. There are 12 DVDs which range from workouts with your back, chest, biceps, triceps, abs, cardio and many others. This is a 90 day program, in which you workout all 90 days in a row and they give you a nutrition guide which tells you how and what you should eat for all 90 days.
Let me tell you this is intense. We both thought this wouldn't be anything too hard. WE WERE WRONG! I don't know of a time when I have ever done that many push-ups in my life. Today, both of our body's are sore. It is going to be hard to cut out the beer during the holidays but we will do our best. We will post our progress throughout our transformation.

Updates in Life
It's been awhile since we've updated our site so we'll let you know what's been going on. We're engaged!! Mitch asked me in August but we haven't sent a date for the wedding we just know it's going to be in 2011. We moved to Cherokee so Mitch could work at the alternative school there. He enjoys making a difference in their lives. Mitch is also going back to school (online) to be a medical transcriptionist. That will take one year to complete. I'm still going to school and doing my clinicals in Storm Lake at the hospital. I'm on my last year and trying to decide if I should go back to school. We also got a puppy named Pepper about a month ago. She's part black lab part German Shepherd. My dad is having his hip completely replaced today and we just got the news that everything went well. I'm just hoping that he'll be able to enjoy the things he used to enjoy doing!
